St. Machar’s Cathedral

St. Machar’s Cathedral is no longer intact. The current West wall is newer than the rest of the structure because parts of the cathedral were torn down during the Reformation. All that remains today is the nave. The choir, tower, and cross-section have all either fallen apart or been dismantled to be used as building materials elsewhere. There are also a number of statues missing (there are empty niches in some of the photos) that were also removed during the reformation.
